We went to Lafarge lake yesterday and bought Elephant Ears. They taste similar to Bannock. I have not made Bannock in a while.
Here is the recipe I use:
In a large bowl mix together 2 cups of white all purpose flour, 4 tsp of baking powder , 1 tsp of salt , 1 tbsp of sugar
Add some lukewarm water to make thick dough. Place 1 cup of dough into the hot oil, spread evenly, then poke hole in middle of dough. Cook each side until golden brown.
